A lot of people do not know that ‘people are money’.

Any business person or entrepreneur must know figures. For me, if I have the target of making 100k, I will break it down to getting 10 people to pay me 10k each, or getting 20 people to pay me 5k each. Then I’ll map out a strategy that will enable 10 or 20 persons to hire my services or buy my product and sometimes, you get paid your target when you position yourself rightly using the right strategy.

Some of the strategies are:

1. Using my product/service to create an offer
2. Sending out a proposal to existing companies in my industry
3. Teaching what I know
4. Using my portfolio

As a content developer, I earn money when people sign up for my training, I earn money when startups sign up for my branding package, I earn money when I design a great graphics or website for individuals and businesses. I also earn money as a facilitator on other platforms.

Without a product or service, you can’t get the right people, without the right people, you can’t get paid.

This is me telling you to learn a skill. Learn to produce something. Make sure the craft you want to learn can make you a standard living.

I work for myself full-time as an entrepreneur, a wonderful lifestyle that I highly encourage. But that lucrative career path didn’t happen accidentally or overnight. There is a process and you must be willing to follow that process.

Jim Rohn once said, “Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune.”

Quality education is an important foundation for lifetime success. A good degree and work ethic can land you a stable job at a good company that can support and sustain you and your family for a lifetime.

But when you take your education into your own hands, you can go far beyond the classroom, you can sustain yourself, your family, and generations to come. For example, I learned content writing, website design and other digital skills and earned thousands of naira. I never learned a line of code in a classroom.

I developed my natural ability and now I speak with authority and I guide people on leadership and personal development.

Do not forget, the goal is to create a system that will enable your brand to earn more in 2020.

Never stop learning. If your education becomes idle, so does your earning ability.
